AC Milan are one of the teams who had a scout present at the Allianz Arena on Sunday to watch striker Serhou Guirassy in action against Bayern Munich, a report claims.
Guirassy is having a ridiculous season in terms of goalscoring, with his 16 goals in the Bundesliga only bettered by Harry Kane’s 20 in Europe’s ‘top five’ leagues, and that has attracted a number of different clubs.
According to 90min, Manchester United sent a delegation to Munich to watch Guirassy, whose Stuttgart side lost 3-0. However, Fulham, West Ham and Milan ‘also had officials in attendance’ for similar reasons.
The source also state that Guirassy’s entourage are ‘confident’ of sealing a move to a Premier League in January for their client. United are joined by Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle, Tottenham and Wolves among the teams interested, while Bournemouth, Brentford and Crystal Palace have also scouted him.
The 27-year-old is now on 32 goals in 41 matches for Stuttgart since first joining them on an initial loan deal, but one factor at play is that he will join the Guinea squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in January, which could complicate a move next month.
All these strikers we’re linked to have only had one good season with those numbers. 17mil for Guirassy doesn’t seem like a huge risk but, wouldn’t it be a safer investment (at least for one player) to spend a little more but with a proven pedigree?
