AC Milan are expected to reinforce the midfield this summer and quite a few names have been linked with the club. Massimo Ambrosini, the former Rossoneri captain, has advised them to sign Davide Frattesi.
Milan have secured Champions League football for next season and will now shift focus to the summer mercato. The defence is expected to remain more or less the same, but the Rossoneri intend to reinforce the midfield and the attack.
Speaking to DAZN after last night’s 1-0 win against Juventus, the former Milan captain Massimo Ambrosini shared his thoughts on the upcoming mercato. He advised the club to sign Sassuolo star Davide Frattesi.
“Milan need reinforcements in all departments, apart from the goalkeeper. I have a soft spot for Frattesi. He’s Italian, strong and he scores goals. At Milan, the midfielders don’t score enough. The midfield players of the top teams all score more goals than those of Milan,” he said as cited by MilanNews.
The 23-year-old has scored seven goals in the league this season, including one against Milan, and he would certainly be a good fit for the midfield tandem. It remains to be seen what his price tag will be, though, as the Rossoneri cannot overspend.
Over price player . Sassoulo aiming to sell him 40m euro to EPL club like scamacca
I’d rather have him for 30m than Loftus-Cheek for the same price.
Same here
Honestly prefer Baldanzi, Sassuolo players are always overpriced and Sassuolo always seem to hold their players for Juve anyway.
I get the nationalism but not type midfielder we need. Should of been pobega but he is kitten. We need physically strong mid period
