AC Milan have completed yet another deadline day exit as young winger Chaka Traore will head to Palermo on an initial loan deal.
On their official website, Milan have confirmed that Traore will be heading to Palermo for the reason of the 2023-24 season in a bid to get some more playing time.
Traore had a fantastic start to the year, scoring against Cagliari in the Coppa Italia and then against Empoli in the league, but the feeling is that he needs more guaranteed minutes to aid his development.
The 19-year-old was linked with moves to both Lausanne in Switzerland and West Bromwich Albion in England, but he is going to Sicily.
Di Marzio reports that the Rosanero have closed the purchase of the Ivorian on an initial loan deal with an option to buy set at €10m plus a 15% resale clause in favour of Milan. There was no mention of a buy-back in the report either.
The teenager has made two league appearances for Milan so far this season as well as one in the Coppa Italia and even a Champions League debut too.
It was back in April 2021 he made his league debut for Parma in a 3–1 loss against Milan – the team he would then join – and he also became the first 2004-born player to play in Serie A.
