Telefoot: Milan made multiple offers for Brest star including player-plus-cash

It has been revealed that AC Milan made several attempts to land one of their preferred defensive targets in the final days of the mercato, but as of right now, a deal seems to be unlikely.

Milan have been linked constantly with defensive reinforcements during this window, and they have explored several avenues. Although Matteo Gabbia was recalled earlier in the month, the links about signing another defender never quietened, especially with Stefano Pioli admitting he would like extra defensive reinforcement.

A name that the Rossoneri have explored heavily is Lilian Brassier, the central defender from Brest. However, Telefoot (Via Calciomercato.com) have reported that a deal will not be done today.

The Frenchman was seen as a great addition to the squad, and Pioli agreed this was the case, but bids of more than €10million have been rejected throughout the month, with the report stating that Brest’s dreams of a European-place finish strengthened their demands.

The French outfit also rejected a deal that included Marco Pellegrino alongside a fee, and it seems any chances of a deal are slim to none in the last few hours of the window.

The report suggests that the Diavolo will attempt to try again in the summer, given his contract expires in the summer of 2025 and he wants to move to Milan.
