With the summer mercato just four months away from opening, AC Milan are already making plans for reinforcements, and a report has claimed that they may already have identified one of their top targets.
Spanish paper Fichajes have reported that Sebastian Szymanski has emerged as one of the Rossoneri’s top targets for the upcoming summer mercato, and the deal has potentially a lot of value. The Polish international has had an incredible season so far, as he has scored nine times and assisted eight more times in the Turkish Super Lig.
As a result of his performances until now, there is substantial interest from across Europe in his services. However, the report suggests that the Rossoneri are standing out, currently, due to the role they can see him playing in their midfield.
Stefano Pioli’s move back to the 4-2-3-1 has shown gaps in the squad’s depth, given Ruben Loftus-Cheek is the only option available to Pioli, and whilst he has had spells where he has impressed in the role, there is still a need to add reinforcements.
The Fenerbahce midfielder is being dubbed as a potential solution for the Diavolo, with them looking to pose a more significant Scudetto threat in the 2024-25 season.
