CM: Developments arrive in Milan’s pursuit of Adams and Guirassy

There is no shortage of ideas among the AC Milan management who want to try to strengthen a squad constantly put in difficulty by their consistent injury problems.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan intend to bolster the defence by making at least one addition or possible more in January and next summer, but Geoffrey Moncada and his team also continue to work on the idea of signing a striker.

The talks with Montpellier for the Nigerian centre-forward Akor Adams have not brought the desired results because the French club want to keep hold of him at least until the end of the current season, so that track has cooled.

There is a name on which Milan are working more decisively in recent weeks and that is Serhou Guirassy. The Guinean striker has 16 Bundesliga goals, putting him second only to Harry Kane in the scoring table in Europe’s ‘top five’ leagues.

In recent days Stuttgart tried to remove the €17m which will be active in January but the player did not accept. Antonio D’Ottavio and Moncada are in contact with his agents to try to find an economic agreement on the salary but there is the risk of participating in an auction considering that Newcastle, Manchester United and now also Borussia Dortmund are keen.

Jonathan David remains in orbit but more for June because to convince Lille they need to offer €40m in order to convince them to sell next month. Armando Broja of Chelsea, who was followed last summer, is not a target contrary to reports in England.
