CorSport: Free transfer key as Milan could pay €40m+ for Leipzig striker Sesko

AC Milan are already making plans for next season as some important reinforcement are expected in the summer. The two main priorities appear to be the centre-back and striker positions, with two key targets identified.

Olivier Giroud has done very well for the Rossoneri this season, bagging 12 goals and 9 assists, but he could leave in the summer. And even if he ends up saying, Milan want to future-proof themselves by bringing in a striker.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), the two main priorities are the centre-back and the striker positions. Lloyd Kelly, whose contract will expire in the summer, has been identified for the latter but Milan will have to try very hard as the competition is fierce.

For the No.9 role, the Rossoneri have seemingly taken their eyes off Jonathan David for now, more keen on RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. He has a release clause of €50m but could perhaps leave for a fee in the region of €40m.

The Kelly negotiations could be key to Milan’s pursuit of Sesko as a free transfer would free up some more cash for the striker position. Nevertheless, Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada are set to make some important investments.
