AC Milan are expected to sign a new striker in the summer, having postponed what was initially planned as a January intervention. There are two key targets on their radar, a report claims, and whoever arrives will be a big name.
Earlier in the season, the Rossoneri had a period in which they struggled with the goalscoring. However, since then, Luka Jovic has found his stride with six goals in all competitions (a goal every 114 minutes). Not to mention that Olivier Giroud is on 11 goals in all competitions.
As reported by Sky Italia’s Manuele Baiocchini (via MilanNews), Milan will sign a ‘big-name striker’ in the summer. There are two key targets currently, namely Jonathan David and Joshua Zirkzee, but more targets could emerge in the coming months.
David has struggled a bit with Lille this season and his price tag could thus be lower than the previous demand of €40m. Zirkzee, on the other hand, has been a huge success for Bologna and he will not be cheap.
A lot will likely also depend on the managerial situation at Milan, with Stefano Pioli’s future being a bit uncertain currently. It is only logical that whoever will coach the team will have a say in the No.9 pursuit.
