AC Milan are on the lookout for a new striker and there are various options being considered by Geoffrey Moncada and his team, according to a report.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) writes that Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig is the leading candidate in the eyes of the management to become the No.9 of the future, but his high asking price means alternatives must be evaluated.
One of them is Santiago Gimenez, who has 19 goals in the Dutch league with Feyenoord having fired them to an Eredvisie title last season with 15 goals in 32 league games.
Another player being monitored is Viktor Gyökeres, who has scored 11 goals in the first half of the Portuguese league season for Sporting CP, having moved there for big money from Coventry City.
Folarin Balogun, a name often linked in the summer, is now at Monaco but he remains a player that Moncada is an admirer of even if a move again after one season back in France seems unlikely.
Vangelis Pavlidis has 18 goals in the Eredivisie this season and has been linked with Milan before, while among the names to follow is also Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna.
He is not a penalty box striker, he scores less than others but he has talent and the Rossoneri are aware of it having watched him up close.
