AC Milan are in the market for a new centre-forward and they are very much keeping their options open at the moment, according to a report.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) points out that Olivier Giroud has scored some important goals this season for Milan, but he is the only one who guarantees goals consistently and he is now 37 years of age with an expiring contract.
In addition to pursuing a central defender in January, the management are expected to look for another centre-forward when the transfer window reopens, and there is a name that is gaining momentum.
Santiago Gimenez is one of the profiles that Moncada has very high on his list. The Mexican striker has 13 goals in 12 league games this season which means his list of suitors is long, especially given that he is just 22 years old.
He is also making his mark in the Champions League too, with two goals in two games, which also means that his asking price is rising.
