Reports: Competition intensifies for Milan target as Barcelona join race

AC Milan-linked striker Santiago Gimenez is now a target for Barcelona which means that a near endless list of clubs are looking at the Feyenoord man.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com (who cite Spanish reports), the Blaugrana are the latest team to express their interest in Gimenez who has been in great scoring form recently.

In the 10 games that the Mexican striker has played in the Eredivisie this season, Gimenez has scored 13 goals and gotten three assists. In the Champions League, he scored twice in the match against Lazio recently.

There is thought to be immense interest from the Premier League in the 22-year-old which makes it very hard for Milan to compete financially, whilst Real Madrid are also rumoured to be linked with Gimenez.

He is also an important part of the Mexico team, having scored four times for the senior team in the 22 games that he has been a part of.
