The Serhou Guirassy track is cooling down quickly for AC Milan, a report claims, and there are a couple of big reasons why.
Gianluca Di Marzio confirms that the Stuttgart striker is one of the main transfer targets for the Rossoneri ahead of the January transfer window, but the situation seems to have become more complicated due to the player’s salary requests.
The Guinea international has already scored 19 goals this season between the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal, and this has attracted the attention of several clubs, including Milan. The Rossoneri would also be willing to pay the €17.5m release clause to sign him.
However, wages are a different issue. Guirassy currently receives €3m net per season from Stuttgart and wants €5m net per year from his next club, which he would easily get from a Premier League side but Milan would hesitate to pay.
Due to this issue linked to the salary – especially with the Growth Decree set to be scrapped – the negotiations to bring Guirassy to Milan become complicated.
Milan are also able to count on the positive recent performances of Luka Jovic. The former Fiorentina man has found the net in each of the last three league matches against Frosinone, Atalanta and Salernitana.
