The deal to bring Mehdi Taremi to AC Milan is off, leaving the management sorting through a number of names to try find an alternative.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Taremi would have completed Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada’s summer mercato but they are now evaluating other profiles because the season is long and they want to give Stefano Pioli another striker.
One is Tonny Sanabria from Torino. Milan have enquired and today the negotiations will continue with the Granata to see if a deal can be worked out, bearing in mind they were interested in Divock Origi too.
The other is Vangelis Pavlidis, who was already written about earlier in the summer. Milan like him but AZ Alkmaar don’t want to sell him unless a crazy offer arrives, so he is a ‘very difficult’ target.
In recent hours, Youssef EL-Nesyri of Sevilla has been proposed by intermediaries. The Moroccan, however, doesn’t want to move on loan and he costs too much for a permanent deal.
Luka Jovic remains the easiest profile to sign. Milan have been thinking about him for some time and have already spoken to Fiorentina about a loan deal.
