Journalist Carlo Pellegatti believes that there could be a last-minute option for AC Milan in their search for a striker, namely Vangelis Pavlidis of AZ Alkmaar.
In his latest column for MilanNews, Pellegatti speaks about Milan’s hunt for a striker and seems to suggest that Hugo Ekitike of Paris Saint-Germain is the number one option at present.
The 21-year-old Frenchman is described as being ‘a plausible lead’ but ‘any negotiation with PSG does not appear simple’ because there must be an agreement found on formula.
Pellegatti adds to ‘beware of last minute entries’ and one of them he puts forward is Vangelis Pavlidis of AZ Alkmaar. The 24-year-old was linked with Milan earlier in the window, and seems to still be on the radar therefore.
In 2021-222 he scored 25 goals and added 7 assists in 51 games across all competitions for AZ, while last season he had 22 goals and 14 assists in 40 games. So far this season, he has 3 goals and an assist in 2 Eredivisie appearances.
