Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi has certainly added fuel to the speculation that Charles De Ketelaere will be making the permanent move to Bergamo in the summer.
De Ketelaere registered two goals and an assist in midweek as Atalanta beat Sassuolo in the Coppa Italia to set up a meeting with Milan in the quarter-finals on Wednesday night.
The Belgian is now on six goals and five assists across all competitions, but above all he has a goal contribution in four of his last five outings for La Dea, and this has sparked suggestions that a permanent move is a formality.
Percassi spoke to DAZN before the match against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico and he was asked whether De Ketelaere must do more before he proves that he is worth the investment.
“We are very happy that Charles is available to Atalanta. We have never had any doubts, he is doing well and we think that he can still improve because he has great potential,” he said (via Calciomercato.com).
