Luka Romero is on the verge of leaving AC Milan for the rest of the season, having agreed to join La Liga side Almeria on a six-month loan. The player should arrive in Spain tomorrow for the medical tests, a report claims.
Romero played quite a lot with Milan during pre-season, even scoring a goal against Real Madrid, but he has struggled since the season started. With just 156 minutes on the pitch across all competitions, a loan move certainly makes sense for the youngster.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Milan have reached an agreement with Almeria over a six-month loan. Romero has agreed to the destination and will arrive in Spain tomorrow, before undergoing the medical tests and signing the contract.
Almeria are rock bottom in La Liga and will be hoping that Romero can lend them a necessary hand. The 19-year-old himself will be looking to have a good impact and above all get consistent playing, which he has been lacking at Milan recently.
The Rossoneri recognise his talent and believe in him a loan, hence why they said not to Boca Juniors who wanted a longer loan and an option to buy. Next season, therefore, he could perhaps be kept in the first team.
