AC Milan’s treatment room will not be empty for a while, but some updates have arrived on several players who have been battling problems.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) reports that Marco Pellegrino should be back in the squad for the Udinese game, having played for the Primavera last weekend to build his fitness back up.
Marco Sportiello also trained with the team, so in Udine the Rossoneri will have their second goalkeeper again, who has been out since mid-October due to an injury to the medial twin of his left calf.
For Alessandro Florenzi, the day of his return to training with the rest of the squad should be today. Pioli is waiting for him, because he would be a very useful alternative among the full-back group.
Only the four long-term patients remain out: Tommaso Pobega, who will return in April, Pierre Kalulu who should be back in March, then there is Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori.
It’s too early to be certain about the return of the latter two, because both will still need at least a month, however they could return to action in February which is only a few games away.
