AC Milan’s midfield depth does not look as solid as it did one week ago, with Yunus Musah and Tommaso Pobega battling injuries of very different degrees.
According to MilanNews, Musah will be forced to miss Friday night’s match away from home against Salernitana. The USA international will not be available to Stefano Pioli as he has not yet recovered from the muscular problem that has been tormenting him in recent days.
Musah aims to return to the field on December 30th in the Rossoneri’s home match against Sassuolo at 18:00 CET, with more updates to come on his condition over the next few days. The 21-year-old has made 18 appearances so far in the league and Champions League, becoming a starter in recent weeks.
Reports are claiming that Pobega will undergo surgery on the tendon issue that he sustained in Sunday’s win over Monza. Doctor Marco Marano – a specialist in Orthopedics and Traumatology – told Radio Rossonera that the recovery time for him would be around four months.
We are obviously talking about a first estimate, one that arrives even before the official choice of the medical staff and the player to undergo the operation, but healing without surgery would be complicated for this type of injury and could lead to future issues.
