AC Milan are interested in signing Lazar Samardzic from Udinese and there have been talks about a potential deal, we have learned.
There has been speculation over the past few weeks that Milan are considering Samardzic as a potential replacement for Brahim Diaz in the playmaker role, given that the Spaniard has returned to Real Madrid after his loan ended.
In fact, the Rossoneri were apparently keen on signing the 21-year-old back when he was with Hertha BSC and had barely broken into the first team, but he ended up joining RB Leipzig and then Udinese.
A source close to the negotiation confirmed to SempreMilan that there is ‘interest from Milan’ and that there have been ‘some talks’ but there is ‘nothing detailed yet’.
After a first year of bedding in with the Friuli, the Serbian found some consistent playing time under Andrea Sottil and took a big step forward, amassing 37 appearances in Serie A with five goals and four assists.
