Milan loanee admits to Icardi inspiration and aim to ‘steal tricks’ from Menez

AC Milan loanee Marco Nasti has spoken about how former Inter striker Mauro Icardi is his inspiration and he will try to learn from former Rossoneri winger Jeremey Menez.

Speaking during an interview with Serie B side Bari’s official media (via Calciomercato.com), Nasti was asked a range of questions which centred on who he looks up to most in football.

Somewhat surprisingly for a Milan youngster, the new Bari forward chose former Inter striker Icardi as his inspiration.

“My favourite player is [Karim] Benzema, but for how I attack the area I am inspired by [Mauro] Icardi. Among my teammates, the ones I have bonded with the most are [Francesco] Vicari and [Ahmad] Benali, but the whole team made me feel at home right from the start,” Nasti said.

One of his new teammates at Bari is French attacker Menez, who has joined from Reggina on a free transfer. Menez played 46 times for the Rossoneri and scored 20 times, also getting four assists.

He was renowned for his incredibly quick feet and inventive skills, and Nasti has admitted that he is going to try and learn some tricks from Menez.

“An honour to play with him. I’ll try to steal some tricks from him in training,” he said.
