GdS: Milan believe in Nasti after his big goals for Cosenza – the plan for his future

AC Milan are big believers in Marco Nasti and are evaluating the next steps to continue his development, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport recalls how Nasti gave up on the chance to play at the U20 World Cup to try and save his loan club Cosenza and he did it, scoring the goal that earned a 1-0 win in the first leg of the relegation play-off with Brescia en route to a 2-1 aggregate win.

Nasti chose Cosenza after closing previous season as the top scorer of the Primavera with 18 goals in 29 games and he scored five goals in 27 games in the league, very similar to Lorenzo Colombo’s return on loan at Lecce.

Nasti’s best memory aside from the crucial play-off goal will be his brace in the derby against Pippo Inzaghi’s Reggina earlier in the season, in which he celebrated by running into the heart of Cosenza fans.

He felt attached to the club and the city, but now a different future awaits. Last year Nasti renewed his contract until 2026 showing that Milan believe in him, and the farewell of Maldini and Massara will not change the plans.

The mission is to develop the 20-year-old more and more, as happened with Colombo, and another loan spell could therefore be possible.

In the summer he could learn from Giroud as he did from Ibrahimovic in the past, all while waiting to finally achieve a dream of walking out at San Siro for his senior Milan debut.
