There are two options for Paris Saint-Germain to sign Rafael Leao from AC Milan and one of them involves meeting a price tag set by the Rossoneri.
As reported by French newspaper L’Equipe (via Pianeta Milan), the Ligue 1 champions do hold a genuine interest in signing Leao from Milan.
It should be said that any move would need to wait until they know what the future holds for Kylian Mbappe.
Were the Frenchman to leave, there are two paths that PSG can choose from. In Leao’s new contract, there is actually a release clause of €175m.
That would be an astronomical fee and one that Milan would be all too happy to receive, especially given Leao has been in very poor form this season.
The Rossoneri will know, though, that PSG are highly unlikely to pay such a fee and they would rather negotiate a different deal.
Were they to sit at the negotiating table, it is expected that Milan would ask for a minimum of €100m for the Portuguese winger. The new contract allows Milan to be firmer in talks with prospective buyers.
If Leao only had a year left on his deal by the summer, then PSG would certainly be able to get him for a lot less than €100m.
