It looks like AC Milan have missed out on yet another transfer target as Marcus Thuram has chosen to join Inter, according to a report.
There were reports yesterday that Inter were trying to overtake Milan in the race for the Frenchman and now Sky are claiming that they have reached a verbal agreement with the player and his entourage.
The 25-year-old striker has given the go-ahead to join the Nerazzurri on a free transfer, given that he will leave Borussia Mönchengladbach when his deal runs out in a few days, where he has played for the last four seasons.
Inter have offered the French player a key role in their new project and a salary of €6-6.5m net a year, thanks also to the facilitations of the Growth Decree tax relief scheme.
It seems therefore that Inter have overcome the competition from Milan, who were waiting for an answer from Thuram before the strong attempt from their city rivals, which came yesterday morning.
