Following his impressive acclimatisation to Serie A, a report has suggested that one of AC Milan’s summer mercato recruits is already being targeted by Manchester United.
In his first season with Milan, Tijjani Reijnders has excelled after his move to Serie A, and this is something which has been picked up on by Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, as reported by FootballTransfers.
United manager Erik Ten Hag has reportedly made the Dutch midfielder his ‘top target’ for midfield due to his current options: Sofyan Amrabat, Casemiro, and Christian Eriksen are either nearing the end of their careers at the top level, or their futures are uncertain.
Throughout his career, the 25-year-old has played nearly everywhere across the midfield. As a defensive midfielder, a central midfielder, or an attacking midfielder, he has impressed, and his versatility is highly respected by the English giants, as they look to rebuild their midfield.
Alternatively, the Parisian side are also eyeing a move for the Dutchman, as they too will look to overhaul their squad, financed by the departing Kylian Mbappe.
The Rossoneri will not roll over to allow the midfielder to move on so soon after joining the club, though. It is reported that it will take at least €60million to pry him away from Italy, but given the financial capacities available to Ten Hag and PSG – if they make their interest concrete – they will have no issues matching this fee.
