Ruben Loftus-Cheek bagged a brace in AC Milan’s clash against Bologna on Saturday evening, once again confirming why the Rossoneri signed him. And as highlighted by a report, they managed to get him for a mere €15m.
The Englishman was the first signing of the 2023 summer window and so far, he has done very well with the red and black shirt. In 23 appearances, he has five goals and two assists, with four of the goals coming since the start of the year.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara first decided to make a move for Loftus-Cheek after the Chelsea-Milan clash on October 5th, 2022. He dominated the midfield and impressed the duo, who prepared the negotiations for the summer.
Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio, who took over from Maldini and Massara, were equally impressed and decided to proceed with the operation. An agreement was reached with Chelsea at €15m plus €3m in bonuses, and this certainly sounds like a bargain.
Since the start of the year, Loftus-Cheek has played solely in the No.10 role behind Olivier Giroud or Luka Jovic, and this is clearly the position for him. His best-ever goalscoring tally is ten for a season but perhaps a new personal best is on the cards, as he alluded to himself.
It’s not 15+3M. It’s fúckign 18M. You know calcio has cr@p reporters when they can’t even read simple numbers right
nah its 180m, Milan is in crisis now because of this flawed transfer, you should go read Tuttosport/Juvesport since you like doomer articles about Milan better
The report literally says €15m + €3m. What are you on about?
And in what condition should we pay additional 3m to Blues
Unknown atm, but since he’s playing so well we will likely end up being the full bonuses. BUT, Milan have still only paid 15m so far.
Title my man. It’s the title 😀
Also transfermarkt says 18M so bonuses were already achieved imao
Transfermarkt always includes bonuses 😉 and there would be no way of knowing if they have been achieved, the balance sheet for 2023-24 has not been released
Moneyball!!!

Next time read the actual article.
Good signing.
Finally a replacement for Kessie.
Sorry but no. He is nowhere like Kessie in either quality or characteristics.
Kessie is way more defensive, tackles better, has more awarness and had allowed us sometimes to pretty much play with 6 players going up front.
RLC is more offensive, faster and better finishing that’s true, but that’s not the replacement we’re looking for. We still don’t have a true defensive midfielder.
Not sure if you’re sarcastic here. But if not, I would argue that having RLC on this team actually requires a Kessie figure as a defensive mid. Because RLC isn’t defensive at all.
I’m most impressed with Okafor. The lad has 4 goals and 1 assist with like 450 minutes played and most of his games are from the bench. They paid around 14 millions for him. If only he could stay fit.
What’s the point. Milan have strengthened in all areas of the pitch and already out of all competitions. RLC has done nothing much impressive but few games like yesterday, he has played good. Nothing great! The midfield and attack are still the weakness in the team.
Not the attack but rather the defense.
We score pretty often and most of the time 2 goals or more, but we conceide enough to lose or draw.
And it’s not only because of our defenders, but lack of recovery from the midfield.
