News is expected today regarding the condition of both Noah Okafor and Tommaso Pobega after they went off during AC Milan’s 3-0 victory over Monza yesterday.
Corriere dello Sera (via MilanNews) writes how yesterday’s excellent victory for Milan against Monza was tainted a bit by the two more injury issues that the team accrued. Midway through the first half Pobega went off with a hip problem, while in the second half it was Okafor to leave the pitch due to a thigh problem after he scored.
Today more will be known about the extent of their problems, but a cautious optimism filters through. The hope is that they are not serious issues because at this moment of the season Stefano Pioli needs everyone available, to find consistency in the league and try to get closer to the top two positions.
It was a blow for Pobega and Okafor too, given the former had a rare start and the latter had just scored a goal to make it 3-0 after an impressive appearance off the bench in Newcastle as well.
