AC Milan seem to have gone cold on the idea of signing Jonathan David from Lille and it is due to budgetary reasons above all, a report claims.
According to what Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning, the chances of signing the Lille centre-forward – whom the Rossoneri have been following for some time – are decreasing.
The exit from the Champions League has in fact changed the situation and reduced the budget available for the January transfer window, which means that the idea of going out on spending €40m on any player is now out of reach.
Nonetheless, the Milan management still want to sign a player for the attack and the hottest name is now Serhou Guirassy of Stuttgart, who has a release clause of €17m. The Guinean striker is having a crazy season, so much so that he has already scored 19 goals across league and cup.
However, this scoring record has attracted the interest of other clubs too, so the Rossoneri will have to convince him with their project especially to leave mid-season.
No money
We will if Lord Krunic’s sold, but AFCON matters
Hallelujah
CL or no CL, 40mil for a hot flash in the pan is just madness. He had one good season. I’ll be glad if this goes away altogether.
