Fode Ballo-Toure’s move to Werder Bremen is now in the final stages and that move will allow Milan to sign a replacement, a report claims.
As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News), Milan should soon collect €4-5 million from the sale of the Senegalese full-back to the Bundesliga side.
It has been clear for a very long time that Ballo-Toure is going to be leaving the club given he was not taken to the United States of America for the pre-season tour and he has also not played at all in the friendlies that have been played back in Italy.
Once that sale goes through, Milan are expected to secure the signing of Riccardo Calafiori who is the favoured choice to provide backup for Theo Hernandez at left-back across the new season.
Luca Pellegrini was another option there but Calafiori is expected to arrive instead from FC Basel.
Good news.
If eventually he leaves, on the balance stays Caldara, Origi, and only those 2.
Lazetic is expected to leave on loan and Adli can be used in rotation.
Problem with Caldara and Origi, that as Ballo Toure they didnt play any friendly and they aren’t integrated in this team.
This should be changed in terms they stayed in club after 01. september. Origi can be used as third option, in case where we have a lead, and Giroud to be rest, and in the games of Coppa Italia. Maybe 200-300 minutes for Origi, until January who than should realise that departure in winter mercato is best option for him.
I see Origi leaving late. There is no chance for him to be part of the team.
Our depth last season was awful and still Pioli wouldn’t use Adli, even in rotation… I don’t think it’s happening for this kid at Milan for whatever reason.
Anyone who says players weren’t exiting looks to be wrong. This management is doing a better job with that.
Calafiori no doubt will be useful to this team I think.
Caldara, Kjaer ( maybe), Florenzi, Lazetic, Origi, Salad.
So much to sell!
