Theo Hernandez reached an important career landmark for a defender in the victory over AS Roma on Serie A Matchday 20.
As highlighted by Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News), Hernandez has shown a side to his game that not many expected in recent weeks as he has played so well when used as a centre-back.
The sheer number of injuries that Milan have suffered in defence meant Hernandez had a run of games in defence, and he showed maturity and leadership skills that many fans did not think that he had in his locker.
He was back on the left flank against Roma and he scored the third goal in a 3-1 win, a trademark goal in which he burst forward into the box and smashed the ball into the back of the net.
That was his 27th career goal, and he has also got 23 assists, meaning he has been involved in 50 goals during his career. Those figures are extremely impressive for a full-back, and even more impressive for a full-back who is actually very effective as a centre-back.
He will be out of contract in 2026, and teams like Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are thought to be very interested in signing him in the summer.
