One of the subjects that continues to attract the most attention is AC Milan’s search for the striker of the future, and one name is at the top of their list.
According to this morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan), summer 2024 is when Milan will almost certainly make an investment on a new centre-forward to take over the leading role from Olivier Giroud.
Benjamin Sesko could come back into fashion, despite the difficulties that exist in dealing with a club like RB Leipzig. He has been followed by the Rossoneri for at least three years, while Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio watched him while he was at Red Bull Salzburg.
Even at that time he had a high asking price and it will have only gone up given his good start at Leipzig, but Sesko is the ideal striker for Milan according to the vision of the ownership, because of his age and potential.
This season, Sesko has so far played 10 matches and scored five goals in the Bundesliga, Champions League and cup for Die Roten Bullen, but in just 351 minutes of accumulated game time.
Two years ago, Milan welcomed Sesko’s agents at their headquarters to set up a negotiation but in the end the operation never took off.
Wise investment if they do go for the kid.
Been a while since we had a sLOVEnian
He won’t come cheap, so i think it would be depend on how far we could go in cl this year, iam confident with serie a this year, at least top 3
I’d rather have him then David
Me too, but I think Sesko is the next big striker transfer from Germany to the EPL. This will be a maxi operation for us, if at all. I just don’t see it happening unfortunately.
Too bad that costs 60m+ lol
Get Jonathan David or Gift Emmanuel Orban
I would rather pay 60 million for Sesko than 40 million for David. We know that Sesko has all it takes to be Milan’s number 9 for years to come after performing on a very high level continuously, while David is just 175cm tall and have only shown his talent in Ligue 1. For such a high price, it’s better to pay a bit more to get the most proper target
