AC Milan intend to pay the release clause of striker Serhou Guirassy but that alone will not be enough to complete the operation, according to a report.
Gianluca Di Marzio confirmed last night that Milan are on the trail of Guirassy, who has been a revelation for Stuttgart this season given that he has 16 Bundesliga goals which is second only to Harry Kane.
The contacts between the Rossoneri and the player’s entourage are alive and, on Milan’s part, there is the will and determination to carry out the operation by paying the €17m release clause which is currently present in his contract.
However, what remains to be found is an agreement with the player, both from an economic point of view because Guirassy already has a high salary at Stuttgart, and to obtain his approval to make the move in January.
Next summer, Guirassy could receive many offers and Milan would like to bring the signing forward. To do so, however, a significant economic effort will be necessary, also in terms of wages.
It is no mystery that Milan are looking for a new starting striker from next season, and although Guirassy has not really had a season like this before, the management seem convinced by his profile.
Said it before and will say it again..he’d be an idi*t to leave stut mid season
He needs to take the chance, never again he’ll have a half-season this good…
Says who? If you look at his stats he’s always been pretty consistent for his game time.
Second thing is he is going to afcon, changing a club atm is pure foolishness. Changes club, fuĉks of to afcon, comes back and then needs to integrate into a new team, new city, new country etc etc.. great idea that
What is Stuttgart offering him? He would be stupid to turn down a move to Milan. Stuttgart won’t win anything.
Milan is only 2nd to Real Madrid and this opportunity won’t come in the summer as Milan might go for Akor Adams from Montpellier who is 4-5yrs younger and cost around the same price.
They don’t need to offer anything, he is under contract until 2026.
Brah what will Milan win?
Coppa Italia
do we need another ST for that?
Milan needs a good striker. Jovic is just picking up himself, and Giroud is off and on. We can make do with someone in form, to help fight for the league, europa and coppa italia. We can get him cheap now, before other clubs start prying in the summer.
