Di Marzio: Terracciano will undergo Milan medical on Monday – the details

By Isak Möller -

Filippo Terracciano is one step away from cimpoleting a move to AC Milan. The medical tests have been scheduled for Monday, a report claims, and this means he could perhaps make his debut in the game against Roma at the weekend.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio this evening, Milan have reached an agreement with Hellas Verona for the transfer of Terracciano. The Rossoneri will pay €4.5m plus an additional €1m in bonuses, while there will also be a 10% resale clause in favour of the Bentegodi side.

The final details related to Terracciano’s contract have been sorted this evening and the medical tests are scheduled for Monday. This means that he could perhaps make his debut against Roma, and perhaps he will be in the squad on Wednesday against Atalanta (Coppa Italia).

It will be Milan’s second January signing, having already brought back Matteo Gabbia early from his loan at Villarreal. The defence, although mostly the centre-back position, has struggled with depth and the reinforcement is a welcome one.

As was explained by Peppe Di Stefano earlier today, Terracciano’s arrival is important above all because of the 20-year-old’s versatility. He can play on both sides of the defence, but also in the midfield. Given that he’s Italian, he’s also good for the squad lists.

  1. I like the player and I like his versatility.

I don’t understand signing players like this in January.

If this guy and Calafiori had been properly scouted they’d be Milan players already and who knows how different our season would look.
