Rade Krunic was heavily linked with a move to Fenerbahce in the summer, but AC Milan decided to keep him. Fast forward six months, the Bosnian is no longer part of the Rossoneri’s plans and the Turkish side’s president has commented on the matter.
Fenerbahce tried until the very end to convince Milan, having more or less reached an agreement with Krunic on the salary. Stefano Pioli said no to the transfer and did end up using the Bosnian a lot, but the playing time has been non-existent in the last few weeks.
Indeed, Krunic is expected to leave the club this month and as you would expect, Fenerbahce are still interested. Milan no longer have any leverage in the negotiations, though, and that’s why the Turkish side’s president Ali Koç stated that they won’t be able to offer as much.
“Krunic was a name we were very keen on. They asked us for abnormal figures in the summer. He still wants to come to Fenerbahce, but we are not able to offer both the player and the club the money we offered in the summer. The talks continue,” he told Haberturk as cited by Francesco Nasato.
It remains to be seen what will happen, but the feeling is that Milan and Fenerbahce will reach an agreement. A figure around €5m will probably be enough to convince the Rossoneri, as that would cover the signing of Filippo Terracciano from Verona (and no capital loss either).
We should have sold him last summer when we had a good offer for him and replaced him then with Hjulmand or N. Dominguez. Poor planning at this club, lack of a competent sports director.
They offered like 8m last summer and we brought in three new midfielders….
How would you know it was the right time to sell krunic..just let it be theres nothing you can do about stuff like that
It’s Mister Pioli who does not want to sell Krunic in the summer … it is stated in the article above as well.
Well given he started most of the games at the beginning of the season when we achieved our best results…..
Of course we achieved those results with 10 men.
Sssssshhhh don’t be coming with your facts around here. I like how he’s bad but our best for in the season coincided with……
So we can’t even get decent money for him….
I know if I went into a car lot and the sales guy came over to me and said that he’s got this great car for sale that he’s been desperate to get rid of for months, I’d pay top dollar.
Sorry, sorry there’s me comparing the very serious business of football to an actual business.
Of course they won’t pay the same amount. They have the upper hand..we already showed our cards by saying he’s no longer needed. That dropped his already low price lower. Haha
