AC Milan claimed three crucial points in their pursuit of reaching the Champions League Round of 16, beating Paris Saint-Germain by two goals to one last night. As you would expect, they were praised by the newspapers this morning.
The Rossoneri conceded the first goal of the game but continued to use the energy of San Siro, quickly finding the equaliser through Rafael Leao. In the second half, Olivier Giroud scored the winner with a nice header, making sure a very good performance resulted in three points.
On the front page, Gazzetta dello Sport wrote the following: “Milan, you are the kings. Mbappe bows. Leao overhead kick, Giroud trademark. Qualification if they beat Dortmund and Newcastle. Pioli: ‘We are not idiots’.”
