AC Milan are expected to make a few changes to the squad during the January window and the same goes for their city rivals Inter. This is something that Gazzetta Dello Sport focused on this morning.
The Rossoneri are currently eight points behind Napoli in the standings and need a good second half of the season to trouble the Partenopei. A few signings are expected in January, therefore, with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara looking for opportunities.
As per Gazzetta Dello Sport (via SempreMilan), Milan have set their sights on especially three players: Houssem Aouar, Hakim Ziyech and Noah Okafor. All three are concrete targets but Okafor is only an option for the summer.
The idea for Ziyech is to do a Tomori-esque deal, bringing him in on a six-month loan with an option to buy in the summer. The relations with Chelsea are excellent and it’s not impossible that an agreement could be reached, also on the player’s salary.
As for Aouar, Milan are really tempted by the idea of signing him and are ready to move early, signing him in January instead of on a free transfer in the summer. Lyon need to monetise his exit and the price tag could sink below €8m.
Finally, Milan have set their sights on Okafor to rejuvenate the attack as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud aren’t getting any younger. The plan is to make an attempt in the summer.
