AC Milan are looking for a centre-back during the January transfer window and an Aston Villa defender has emerged as a potential option, according to a report.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan’s priority on the transfer market in January is undoubtedly to sign a defender given that Malick Thiaw and Pierre Kalulu will be out for some time, which has forced Theo Hernandez to start at centre-back.
The Rossoneri management are looking for a central defender on loan, perhaps a player who is not getting much playing time at a big club. The name that has been mentioned most insistently in recent weeks is that of Jakub Kiwor, but for now Arsenal are not open to a transfer in January. The same goes for Chelsea’s Benoit Badiashile.
In the last few hours the name of Clement Lenglet, a French defender who has already been linked to Milan in the past, appears to have resurfaced. He belongs to Barcelona who loaned him to Aston Villa in the summer, but for now he has only played in the Conference League.
We don’t need him he’s injury prone and not good
Jesus, the best Milan can do is a loanee who’s not even good enough to make his loan club’s team regularly? Sad days for a once-mighty club….
