Stefano Pioli will welcome back three players from injury after the international break and that means only Ismael Bennacer and Mattia Caldara remain on the injury list. And they will have to wait a little for their returns.
As reported by today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo below), the likes of Pierre Kalulu, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Rade Krunic will be back at Pioli’s disposal after the break. A big boost for the manager as rotation will be needed.
Ismael Bennacer and Mattia Caldara will remain on the injury list, though, and they will have to wait a little longer. The Italian defender should be back in training between November and December, with a January exit possible for him.
As for the midfielder, he underwent knee surgery at the end of last season and he’s expected to be back in action at the start of 2024. He should be back in time for the AFCONs, meaning he will also miss a good chunk of January/February for Milan.
Krunic is back? Exciting news.
Now we hope that those that joined their national teams for the international break don’t increase that number.
I always forgot about AFCON, such terrible timing
