AC Milan and Atalanta will renew hostilities on Wednesday night at San Siro with a place in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia up for grabs, but Charles De Ketelaere might not be present.
According to what is being reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) this morning, there are two returns for Atalanta to celebrate ahead of making the short trip to Milano, but also two doubts for Gian Piero Gasperini.
In view of tomorrow’s cup match against Milan, centre-back Rafael Toloi and central midfielder Michel Adopo trained with the rest of the squad which means they should be available for the quarter-final.
However, Gasperini will only know between today and tomorrow morning if he can count on Charles De Kateleare and Sead Kolasinac. The Belgian came off at half-time during Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Roma due to fatigue.
Meanwhile, the Bosnian came off at the end (but wanted to continue) due to feeling some muscle discomfort in his flexor. For both the tests will be decisive, which will have to exclude injuries or in any case risks in case of use tomorrow evening.
De Ketelaere is now on six goals and five assists across all competitions, with a goal contribution in four of his last six outings for La Dea, and this has sparked suggestions that a permanent move is a formality which were fuelled by Atalanta’s CEO.
Get well soon Charles – you need to get back playing asap so Atalanta will be finally convinced of your unstoppable talent and purchase you outright.
