Serhou Guirassy has opened to the idea of leaving Stuttgart mid-season, a report claims, and AC Milan will now try to accelerate their pursuit of him.
According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), Milan, Manchester United, Tottenham and other clubs all have the same objective: to sign Guirassy in January by activating his €17m release clause.
Milan have been trying for a few weeks and there are two positive pieces of news. The first: in January there will be a concrete chance to close the operation (something that was not a given), the second: the extension of the growth decree, which seems almost certain, will encourage Milan to focus heavily on an operation in the winter.
Guirassy ahead of the new year has made two concrete commitments and the first is with Guinea, the national team he chose to play for. From mid-January he will be at the Africa Cup of Nations, but Guinea have Cameroon and Senegal in their group so he could be back before the end of the month.
The second commitment made by Guirassy is in fact with himself: faced with an excellent offer (which will arrive) and a serious project, he will leave Stuttgart. He can do it without asking permission because he has a €17m, very low for a player who suddenly became the Bundesliga’s second-top scorer behind Harry Kane.
At this point, it will be a game of proposals and offers. Not so much to Stuttgart, but to him. The team that offers the best contract and the ideal environment for him to keep growing will win. Milan, with the charm of history and San Siro, certainly have a chance.
The Premier League has clubs that can obviously offer bigger wages but Milan have been working on Guirassy for some time, driven by Geoffrey Moncada, because they see the 27-year-old as tempting opportunity and they do not want to pay €50-60m for a striker.
Milan have two paths ahead of them: try to get Guirassy immediately, compete with United et al. and take advantage of the Growth Decree, or wait considering that Luka Jovic has grown and the Stuttgart No.9 is asking for a significant salary, probably outside of the Rossoneri’s usual parameters.
Low fee, huge salary then he flops and we have another Origi on the books (y)
At least he’s not injury prone. And he has clearly better stats than orriggi.
You don’t have to be injury prone to get injured in Pioli’s team!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀
Sportiello is a living proof of that. Zero injuries before and now already missed half a season.
Which stats? Striker with average of 8 goals per season in league matches.
A would say that is a tad generic, not to mention that it is an extremely negative way to view a new signing.
I think a powerful and MOBILE forward would be a heaven sent for us at the moment
well, what do you know. I think we need a f*ck*ng CB and a proper DM, not a ST at all. So its a waste of money we already dont have
Yes, which player are you talking about as powerful and mobile? And a forward? This half season wonder?
Well actually if you look at his record, he seems to be scoring consistently.
Good strikers cost 50-60M€ FOR A REASON. Half-a-season-wonders are cheaper for a reason too.
Hope he chooses PL.
Yes, refuse to pay anyone in the team a proper wage and then offer this clown how much, 5M per season? These guys are mentally impaired, that is why you don’t let bankers run the club, but someone with actual football history. The only thing they have in mind here is how they will save on the transfer fee. But I can sell you some s**t for only 1M€, why waste 16M more?
Faildini isnt coming back, go back to Saudi
Haha how’s Failani and Failcada doing then by your word logic? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lemme see knocked into Europa League
Worse than last year at this stage in Serie A
…maybe they’re hoping for Copa Italia??
