In recent weeks, the name of Assan Ouédraogo has been linked with AC Milan as they search for a new midfielder but at the moment there are other priorities, a report claims.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Milan management do not seem willing to accelerate their pursuit of the 17-year-old and try to bring him in during the January window despite the competition.
This is because during the winter mercato there are other priorities, first and foremost a central defender given the emergency in that particular position, with Malick Thiaw, Marco Pellegrino and Pierre Kalulu out.
Ouédraogo has a contract with the Germans until 2027, but there is a rather affordable release clause of €12m. Geoffrey Moncada, who has been following him for a couple of years and who is moving with great attention to try to bring him to Milanello, has given him guarantees.
However, it seems to be that the Rossoneri are looking to sign the German talent next summer rather than next month.
