AC Milan technical director Geoffrey Moncada remains very keen on signing Akor Adams as a potential alternative to Lille’s Jonathan David, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Pianeta Milan), there are two strikers who seem to be at the top of Moncada’s list right now and one of them is Montpellier’s Akor Adams.
Jonathan David has been linked with Milan for a long time and remains a very serious option for the Rossoneri, but the 2000-born Nigerian striker Adams has got seven Ligue 1 goals this season for Montpellier.
It seems unlikely that Montpellier would let him leave the club in January given they are performing well and he only recently arrived for €4.5m.
It is much more likely that Milan make a January move for a defender rather than a striker, but two arrivals cannot be ruled out given Luka Jovic’s lack of impact so far.
Still no clue bout striker. Could be a tormented or tortured agony gameplay without world class striker
The idea that we apparently need to sign another few players after signing 10 this summer suggests that the directors probably aren’t the most efficient at their jobs.
All these news about unproven players when we need veterans and players with Serie A knowledge. I won’t be surprised if Moncada received some commission on every incoming transfer that he was recommending. He seems to have more influence since this summer, so maybe he’s personally interested in bringing the most players he can. A lot of Ligue 1 executives have such clauses in their contract and Moncada was working at Monaco, famous for its turnover and appetite for “capital gain”.
Because you feel that our attacking department is complete without needing reinforcements as is?
