Jan-Carlo Simic made his Serie A debut for AC Milan on Sunday, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic was on hand to congratulate him yesterday at Milanello according to a report.
According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic’s visit to Milanello – his first since being appointed as an advisor to RedBird Capital and AC Milan – lasted more than five hours.
After arriving mid-morning, the Swede greeted all the players before making a short speech to the team to present his new role, during which he stressed that he will be available to anyone who feels they need his help.
The paper adds that Ibrahimovic shook hands with the 18-year-old centre-back Simic and congratulated him on his debut against Monza. The Serbian, who entered midway through the first half in place of the injured Tommaso Pobega, also scored his first goal in Serie A after Rafael Leao teed him up.
When will we see Simic play again? One of the great mysteries of this decade…
Presumably Salernitana are easier to play against than Monza, so maybe Simic would start? But nope….
