AC Milan will take on Frosinone away from home this evening and Stefano Pioli has decided to make no changes to the XI, a report claims. Given that the Rossoneri have done well recently, one cannot blame the manager for making that call.
Milan will be eager to bounce back with a win after the disappointing 2-2 draw against Bologna, missing two penalties and conceding a 92nd-minute equaliser. Although the defending could have been better, the overall performance was good and that XI deserves another chance.
According to today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), this is exactly what Pioli is thinking as no changes will be made to the starting eleven. Yacine Adli will keep his spot in midfield, as such, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be hoping for another strong display.
Olivier Giroud, who missed a penalty last time out, will get the nod ahead of Luka Jovic and Noah Okafor but now has a bit more pressure on his shoulders. It could be his third consecutive game without a goal, which would not be ideal.
Speaking of goal droughts, Rafael Leao desperately needs to end his in the league after not scoring since September. Hopefully, tonight is the night.
Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia, Hernandez; Reijnders, Adli; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Giroud.
Probable Frosinone XI (4-3-3): Turati; Monterisi, Okoli, Romagnoli, Brescianini; Mazzitelli, Barrenechea, Harroui; Soule, Jorge, Seck.
