Ahead of tonight’s clash between AC Milan and Frosinone at Stadio Benito Stirpe, Rafael Leao spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the task at hand. The Portuguese will also reach 150 league games for the Rossoneri tonight.
Milan are seven games unbeaten in the league but will be looking for a strong performance tonight, following the disappointing 2-2 draw against Bologna. Rafael Leao, who is the star of the team, is hoping to end his long goal drought – having not scored since September.
Speaking to MilanTV before the game, as cited by MilanNews, he shared his thoughts on the game and reaching the important milestone of 150 league games for Milan.
A game not to be underestimated…
“We know that Frosinone play well at home. We want to return to Milan with the three points after a good performance. We are doing well and we want to get back to winning ways after the draw against Bologna.”
150 matches in Serie A…
“I have to thank Milan for this achievement, I’m very proud of this and I’m proud to play here. My family has also always supported me, we are all very confident for this match, I want to do well for myself and for the team.”
Stefano Pioli has named an unchanged XI yet again, making this the fourth consecutive game with the same XI. One can understand the manager given the recent positive form, but Tijjani Reijnders will have to be careful as he’s just one yellow card away from suspension.
