AC Milan Women star Kosovare Asllani has been named by The Guardian as being in the top 100 female football players in the world right now.
Created in collaboration with The Offside Rule, The Guardian have ranked what they feel are the top 100 players and Milan’s Asllani is ranked as the 67th best player in the world.
Asllani joined Milan in the summer from Real Madrid and she has been a superb performer for the Rossonere. She has scored seven times in Serie A Femminile but Milan are still only fifth in the table.
Her ranking makes her the highest-placed player in Serie A Femminile on the list. The next highest is Juventus goalkeeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnan and then the only other player on the list from Serie A Femminile is Juventus striker Barbara Bonansea.
Milan are not enjoying the most successful season under Maurizio Ganz and appear to be out of the title race already.
