New Serie A champions Napoli could be a major obstacle for AC Milan in their pursuit of Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun this summer, a report claims.
As has been reported in the United Kingdom by The Daily Mirror (via Milan News), Napoli are very keen on making a move for Balogun if they find themselves having to sell Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian is attracting major interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Newcastle.
If a move were to materialise, it would mean that Napoli are rivalling Milan for a new striker during the summer.
It would cost around €25 million for Milan to secure the signature of Balogun from Arsenal, and the interest from Napoli could cause the Rossoneri to act fast on their interest.
Balogun has been on loan at Stade Reims in Ligue 1 this season and it is his goals there that have led to such widespread interest in his services.

i like the player as well but personally i think he will cost 40 mil instead of the 25 mil mentioned in this article as there should be a lot of suitors for him-
lots of suitors for 25mill, none for 40 mill. No big team (first or second seed in CL), which are the ones that offer higher salaries would get him as starting striker, maybe Leipzig or Benfica.
Imo, for us, he’s a bigger gamble than Scamacca or Beltran and less likely to make a difference against closed defenses.
Additionally I think he’s non EU (U.S. and British NT), so it’s either him or one of Loftus-Cheek / Kamada will not join.
To me, Balogun to Milan for 25mill or more is fake news…calling it right now.
just remember the epl teams, even newly promoted teams to the epl will be able to afford 40 mil for a player that should guarantee a fair amount of goals per season.
Scamacca isnt well liked by a lot of milan fans but i quite like him so i have no issues in us getting him instead either,
I have no idea what river plate would demand for beltran so it would largely depend on that whether i would call him a lesser gamble.
I think balogun propably is one milan would like to aquirre but generally its not to bad a stance to be suspicious of transfer rumors.
