Two bits of good news have arrived on the injury front for AC Milan in view of Sunday night’s game against Roma at San Siro.
According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Matteo Gabbia’s problem is not anything serious and he should be back in training when it resumes in view of this weekend’s game against the Giallorossi.
The injury he sustained was rather a strange one and it came during the first half of the defeat against Atalanta last night, in what was his first start since returning from his loan spell at Villarreal.
A cross was floated to the far post and headed back across goal by Charles De Ketelaere, but De Roon couldn’t get on the end of it and instead went crashing into the Italian centre-back, who sustained a bloody nose.
It initially looked like he might continue but – given he appeared dazed – it is likely that he was brought off due to the concussion protocol that must be followed.
Meanwhile, it seems as though Noah Okafor will be available for the Roma game too, at least if his social media is anything to go by. He has been out since the Monza win last month, and he tweeted a short but simple message: “I’m back.”
I'm back 🔥
