Zlatan Ibrahimovic was meant to be at Milanello on Friday morning but had to postpone his visit, struggling with a fever. The Swede is yet to recover but is hoping to attend the game between Milan and Monza tomorrow, a report claims.
Ibrahimovic’s return to the club as a Senior Advisor was announced on Monday afternoon and the Swede was expected at Milanello on Friday. However, due to a bout of flu, the 42-year-old was forced to postpone the visit.
According to Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews, Ibrahimovic is yet to recover as he still has a fever, but he’s hoping to be present at Milan’s game against Monza tomorrow. We will simply have to wait and see if he will appear at San Siro for the clash.
Milan will be looking to build on the win against Newcastle mid-week, and frankly need to clinch all three points after the disappointing 3-2 defeat to Atalanta. The Scudetto is far away at the moment, but the Rossoneri at least need to assert themselves in the Champions League race.
Over 70k are expected at San Siro for the game tomorrow and it should thus be a good atmosphere, even if the latter has been affected by the poor performances recently too.
