Ligue 1 side Lille have started to show interest in signing Yacine Adli from AC Milan as he seems destined to have a future away from the club, a report claims.
As has been reported by Milan News, Lille have requested some information from Milan about Adli and his availability, although it is unclear whether they have got a loan move or a permanent deal in mind.
Adli failed to find much space in the team at all during the 2022/23 season with Stefano Pioli seemingly unconvinced by his abilities.
Given the change in shape to a 4-3-3 and the abundance of midfielders arriving at the club, the assumption is that the former Bordeaux player will be loaned or sold.
As well as Lille, some Serie A teams have shown interest in giving him more game time. He spent just 140 minutes on the pitch during the last season and that seems unlikely to change next season.
Keep him and use him as a deep-lying midfielder, like in the game against Real. As I’ve said in the past,
I think that’s his best position. From there he can use his good vision and long passing skills.
I like this boy. But Poili dont know how to use him. I hop he can have more play time. Just let him go.
Pioli underrates this guy.
Btw. after having seen the two first preseason matches, it is obvious we are not changing to 4-3-3 (yet), because we are still seeing 4-2-3-1 with RLC as AMC.

we shifted in the two systems all the match through. first 15min we started 433, changed to 4231 where we scored the goal. After we shifted to the 433 again where Romero scored, look at the goal again, Pobega high on the pitch on the left, Loftus high on the right, Krunic 20 meters behind making that crucial interception (who played brilliant btw, but ah ppl will never see what he means for the team anyway, on the other hand: “Adli, adli adli :'(” ) Textbook 433
Also, when the big boys came on, it was very clear which direction this is going. Probably a switch between 433 and 4321. Adli played as mezzala, Reijnders LCM and Ketelaere was brought in as a LCM, not CAM
and lumezzane we played 433 for about 90mins
Adli did not fail to find much play time rather It’s Pioli who failed to give him much time, even my grandma knows the boy has potential and it shows.
He sucks in defence, here’s the whole mystery of poor little Adli who’s career is “being ruined by Pioli”.
Sell him and let’s quickly forget.
Sucks in defence? He is really good at pressing. And btw. his primary positions is as ACM.
The more I see Adli, not that he’s super great or anything, the more I wonder why he wasn’t played instead of CDK last year
Pressure from management . They dont want their most expensive signing rotting in bench and embarassing them while adili play, while pioli just : yes sir yes sir i will play CDK instead adili as long as my position safe
He didn’t look too bad but Pioli doesn’t have a role/plan for him for some reason. Since Pioli has more freedom and responsibilities now, I don’t see why Adli needs to stick around. Need to offload him unfortunately.
