AC Milan could sign a striker in January due to the struggles of Luka Jovic. Several players have been linked with the Rossoneri, but Montpellier star Akor Adams appears to be the most concrete target.
The news about Milan’s interest in Adams broke two days ago, and the rumours have not slowed since. Instead, they have intensified as the Rossoneri are willing to reinforce the attack in January, setting aside some of the budget.
According to MilanNews, the Rossoneri are in constant talks with Montpellier over a possible January transfer. Furthermore, Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada are evaluating the best offer to make. This says a lot, given that it’s well over a month left until the window opens.
Adams has scored seven goals for the French side this season, having arrived at the club in the summer. The first few months have been successful, in other words, and it’s not strange that the Rossoneri are watching on.
As the report concludes, Lille’s Jonathan David remains a concrete target but more so for the summer. A lot will depend on the second half of the season, with some doubts to clarify. He’s currently on a nine-game goal drought, which is far from ideal.
Slow down….
Personally, I’m not convinced by Akor’s ability…. I have watched a few of his games and also some YouTube videos. He’s nothing close to his country men like Osimhen, Boniface, Awoniyi, Sadiq, or even Orban…. Maybe, he might show something different as time goes. But for now I would prefer other options.
He also just joined Montpellier. I feel for these clubs who go out to buy players only for them to be snatched up by bigger clubs. The French league used to be better but now it’s just a feed. Sad.
